Summer on the cuyahoga
"Summer on the Cuyahoga (SOTC) is a unique summer internship program open to students who are rising juniors, rising seniors and recent graduates and attend one of our eight partner schools: Case Western Reserve, Colgate, Cornell, Denison, Ohio Wesleyan, Smith, University of Chicago and Yale. The program brings together 50-70 students for an intensive summer immersion program designed to help interns explore the professional, civic and social offerings of the Cleveland area. SOTC offers students challenging internships, community introductions, alumni connections, and group housing for the summer."
In 2015, 216 Cornell students submitted 606 applications for internship positions in Cleveland. The top 15 students were matched with opportunities at companies like Flashstarts, Rosetta, BioEnterprise, and the Cleveland Metroparks.
Students: Check the website to learn more, applications are typically accepted in the fall semester.
Alumni: Get involved by volunteering to host a student throughout the summer, offer a position at your company, or donate to support the program.
Contact CCNEO SOTC liaison Lauren Lavo for more information.
